How to make Your 6 pack Stand Out

Sculpting a well defined and visible 6 pack is by far one of the most sought after goals in the gym today, especially when the summer months roll around and the beach days begin.

A well defined 6 pack is not only a tool of attraction but is also a staple of strength, and health. The only problem is that for most people sculpting a 6 pack is usually an almost impossible task and very few achieve the goals they set.

The biggest reason for this is misconception. In order to develop and define a great set of abs you need 2 things. The first thing you need to do is to work your abdominal muscles.

This can be done by doing exercises such as crunches, sit-ups, leg raises, weighted side bends, knee-ups and so on. But this is only half the battle, and the part of the battle that 99% of people excel at.

The second part deals with the layer of fat that lies on top of your abs. Everybody has this layer of fat, and it has been proven that in order to get a 6 pack that will poke through this fat you need an overall body fat percentage of about 7-9%.

This 2nd part of the equation is the part that most people tend to overlook and is the main reason why they have a nice set of abs but they can never be seen. If you are looking to get a great set of abs that can actually be seen then you will have to reduce your body fat percentage first.
